Coming February 6-8, 2015: Get out and explore the winter wonderland we call home! Use the gear at Camp Shingobee Timbers or bring your own to snowshoe, ski, sled, and skate your way to a winter adventure. Let’s have some “Frozen” fun! Pin the carrot on Olaf, make frozen popcorn, and have Karaoke time with your favorite Elsa and Anna songs. Activities dependent on weather.
3 choices: Friday overnight, Saturday day program and Saturday overnight.

Help keep local women safe by collecting old cell phones! The Mid-Minnesota Women's Center is a nonprofit organization providing services to battered women and their children. They provide advocacy, a 24 hour live crisis line, and shelter for women and children. They need cell phones to give to women they support.

Six lively, hands-on sessions led by trained, caring facilitators. Girls take on the challenge of the It's Your World - Change It! Leadership Journey. They also earn the Girl scout Safety Award as they learn how to stay safe in their home, shcool and community. Each session includes a healthy snack, fitness fun, and homework help as well as activities on teamwork, community, and safety. Girls receive the It's Your World - Change It! Journey book, Journey award, and the Girl Scout Safety Award.
DATES: Thursdays - October 9, 23, 30 & Nov 6, 13, 20
PLACE: Little Falls Middle School - HomeEc Room
COST: $54 for current Girl Scouts ($25 in cookie dough may be used)
$69 for non-Girl Scouts (includes annual G.S. registratioin - scholarships available)

COOKIE SALE PROGRAM
COOKIES arrived this week in the Council. Can you believe it? Cookie Sale Program trainings begin in just one week. Have you signed up yet? We suggest that at least one adult volunteer from each troop attend the training. It’s a great opportunity to learn valuable information, sample the cookies, and network with other volunteers.

FALL PRODUCT SALE PROGRAM
THANK YOU to all who participated in any way in this year’s Fall Product Sale Program. The Council order has been sent to our Fall Sale vendor and delivery information has been sent to community product sales managers. Some of the important sale dates remaining:
· Product delivery to service units: November 12 – 17
· Girls deliver product to customers: Beginning November 12
· Family Money due to troops: December 1
· Troop deposits money into troop account: by December 2
· Council debits troop account for 100% of balance due: December 10
Fall recognition awards are shipped to community product sales managers at the end of November/early December. Give recognitions to the girls after they have delivered products and turned in all money.

Our council group of both National Delegates as well as visitors just returned from their trip to Salt Lake City, Utah for the 53rd National Convention. The National Convention happens every three years, and we hope that you include the 2017 Convention in Columbus, Ohio in your troop’s plans. Every three years, Girl Scouts from all over the world gather together in sisterhood to share their passions, learn new skills and decide the future of Girl Scouting!
