Janette Pollay Cabin and Outdoor Program Center is hidden in 19.5 acres of woods on the northern edge of Duluth. Girl Scouts have been coming to Janette Pollay cabin since 1925, and we have worked to preserve this site's unique historic character.
The log cabin has space for meetings, crafts, and games, and can sleep 24. We often host large groups for day-only events, accommodating up to 100 for outdoor activities. The cabin includes a full kitchen and mattresses available for use on the floor. Restroom facilities are two modern latrines. Outdoor features include:
- large campfire circle
- picnic shelter with stone fireplace
- playing field
- flag pole
- 6 units/tent campsites
- hiking trails
- letterboxes (available spring through fall)
Groups enjoy coming to Janette Pollay for retreats year-round. Summer offers excellent opportunities for environmental education in a variety of ecosystems. In the winter, groups enjoy sledding, snowshoeing, and the cozy fireplace. We have a small number of snowshoes available for rental groups to use.
