A learning session to assist new troop leaders with the basic steps of how to get their troop meetings up and running and how to guide girls in their participation choices throughout their Girl Scout adventure.

Part I—First Steps as a Girl Scout Volunteer assists troop leaders with the basic steps of how to get their troop meetings up and running.
Part II—Safety and Finance Basics teaches the troop leader about the need to follow Safety Activity Checkpoints
for troop meetings and field trips and where to find these guidelines. It also discusses the Fall Product and Cookie
Sales Program and troop Sponsorship.
Part III—Girl Scout Leadership Experience is an introduction and skill-building session for troop leaders to demonstrate and explore the Girl Scout Journey books, The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting, and how the two resources can best be used together.
