3rd Annual Fall Workshop for Adult Girl Scout Volunteers
Stay for the morning or all day and build your network of Girl Scout Friends and Mentors
Workshops - 8 to choose from:
New Leaders Training: This learning session is required for leaders and co-leaders. It will assist with basic steps of how to get the troop meeting established and how to guide girls in their participation choices throughout their Girl Scout Adventure.
Exploring Girl Scout Journey Books and the Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting: This workshop is an introduction and skill-building workshop for new and returning leaders; to demonstrate and explore the Girl Scout Journey book, a Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouts, and how the two resources can best be used together.
Self-sustaining Troop: The Self-sustaining Troop session will help you learn how to end the frustration of collecting dues and put the girls in charge of planning and funding their own Girl Scout experience. This learning session is for leaders at all program levels. Troop Finance, Sponsorship and Goal Setting
Basic Outdoor Skills : This workshop will cover the skills you will need to take a troop/group on a day or an overnight trip. You will gain the knowledge and ability in outdoor skills to guide your Girl Scouts throughout their Girl Scout experience. Including Outdoor Education in Girl Scouting book $19.50. Without book, cost $10.00. BOS will be offered again in Region 2 at our Spring Training at Camp Roundelay. Payment is required to register - Please print THIS FORM and mail it in to register.
Songs and Games: Do you know all of the tried and true Girl Scout songs and games? Join us for fun and laughter. This session will help you learn those favorite songs to sing with your troop in addition to lots of troop games and activities.
Camp, Council Properties and Janette Pollay, too! Take a short walking tour to learn the many things your troop can do at Janette Pollay and the history too. It’s easy to rent any of our camp properties, for your troop or Service Unit. Events, ceremonies or overnights, all this and additional rental information in this session.

Girl Planning: Take the time with us to understand the likes, needs and abilities of girls at different age levels. Open the door for girls to share ideas, feelings, seek advice and propose plans for their troop. Build tomorrows leaders and instill life skills.
Ceremonies: Ceremonies heighten the significance of special times. Join us for a few hard and fast rules to follow in planning and carrying out your ceremony.
