CPR and First Aid Certified- For adults only/ Cost: $8 per person

Time: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

Skills are taught using American Heart Association’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows instructors to observe students, provide feedback and guide students’ acquisition of skills.

Program Aide Training - Grades 6-8 / $25 per girl(observing adults free) / Girls  may use up to $10 in Cookie Dough

Time:   11:00 am -1:00 pm

Get ready for summer Day Camps and to take the lead at Girl Scout events and programs! Page 30 of Cadette: The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting provides information on how to earn a Leader in Action award and your Program Aide award. Remember that as part of the new criteria established by GSUSA, girls need to complete the Leader in Action award prior to attending Program Aide training. To sign up, just fill out the GSMWLP Leadership Program and Events Guide registration form.

Basic Outdoor Skills- For Cadettes - Adults/ Cost: $10.00 Per Person (Add an additional $9.50 if you are interested in purchasing your own copy of the book: Outdoor Education in Girl Scouts.)

 

Time: 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm

Are members of your troop interested in exploring the outdoors?  Have they talked about camping together at one of our camp properties? Are you interested in learning more about one or more of the outdoor properties owned by Girl Scouts of the Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines (GSMWLP) or brushing up on your day-use outdoor skills?If so, you, or another adult volunteer from your troop, need to attend Basic Outdoor Skills (B.O.S.) training prior to your outing. Participants will learn tips & tricks to manage your campers, and how to utilize and teach: fire building, campfire cooking, outdoor safety, knot tying, dressing for the weather, and procedures for troop outings.
