<![CDATA[Region 5 October Newsletter!]]> http://girlscouts.le1.getliveedit.com/Blog/Region-5/Region-5-October-Newsletter/

In the past, the Region 5 staff team has created a monthly newsletter that got sent directly to our regional 01 troop leaders and Community Coordinators/Service Unit Managers. Once we transitioned to the blogs, we didn’t want to get rid of our newsletter, but tried to think of how we’d be able to get a mass amount of information in one place without making all of you scroll through a ton of blog postings. So, we are pleased to announce that our monthly newsletter (and calendar) is not going anywhere – we’re going to post it at the beginning of each month directly to our blog! We have included with our newsletter a calendar of the next upcoming months, which we will also keep. We are not replacing the Region 5 Calendar that is linked at the top left of our blog page, but rather able to provide a more descriptive snapshot of what’s coming up by month. So, without further ado – here is the link to our October 2012 Region 5 Newsletter! Enjoy and feel free to spread it around to everyone you know! Questions? Leave a comment, or contact any one of us on the Region 5 team (contact info is listed at the bottom left).

As I am starting to fill my office with supplies for Our World Our Family, I can’t help but get excited for our annual camping extravaganza. It is by far my most favorite thing about Girl Scouts and I get strange looks from some of my co-workers when I express my enthusiasm for it. There is so much work that goes into one weekend for 1,000 people, but by Sunday afternoon as I’m driving out of camp with tired eyes and sore feet, I know that it’s all worth it.
